“The money is in the list” is the mantra of a lot of internet marketers. Before the list there’s traffic and to catch the traffic you need to get their attention. Enter the headline.
There I was checking out my InstantBuzz stats and pleasantly surprised how many time my ad was seen only to be dismayed when I saw NO ONE clicked. The problem got worse as I started doing promotional mails with ListJoe and ListMachine and realized my emails were drab and dull.

Yesterday I wrote a piece telling where and how to get content for your Blog. While fresh regularly published content will get you indexed by Google, directing exactly where you show up and in what markets you’re in is essential if you want to make money with a website. Proper use of your keywords accomplishes the goal of laser targeting your market, and is a critical piece for placement in the top 5. Let’s get started with the basics Blog SEO. What’s up with all the $7 e-books?
I’m on InstantBuzz and a lot of the ads are for $7 e-books. I read about how it’s one of the “fast” ways to making a profitable website. If you can write a decent 30 page report on something you’ve discovered that works then fgo for it. I have trouble believing the $7 e-book will quadruple my traffic in 2 weeks or any of the other claims.
I do see where a few people may have stumbled onto something that works for them and put it in an e-book but the hard part is separating the sh*t fom the sugar…as my uncle used to say.
My Niche Marketing Essentials report could possible qualify as a $7 e-book…maybe I’ll give it try;)
Actually, the $7 ebook is really a front end offer. All the money is really made on the back end when the lead is subscribed. It’s just another twist on the “irresistible offer”
BTW, no matter how great you e-book it ain’t gonna sell if you can’t get traffic. That’s probably another set of $7 e-books.
If you want your site to get indexed by Google you need lots of good content published to your blog regularly. Rule of thumb I go by is 3 posts a day every day for the first 2-3 months. At that rate you’ll get indexed by Google and start getting natural traffic quickly. As we know by now, traffic is the key to profitable websites.

When it comes to making a sell using your autoresponder, follow up messages are very important. Most website visitors won’t buy something on the first visit; it normally takes more than 6 or 7 visits before they decide to make a purchase. To keep them interested and eventually make the sale, you’ll need to come up with some innovative yet captivating follow up messages.
When you start writing your message, you’ll need to come up with compelling headlines. Compelling headlines will draw attention from readers, making them feel excited to read the rest of your message. If you send a message with a shoddy headline, chances are that your readers will just glance over the email and not pay much attention to it at all.

I finished the bonus report on my squeeze page! Now all I have to do is:
- Proof read
- Fix Errors
- Add the links
- Add intro, a graphic and copyright notice
- Turn it into PDF.
I’ll tackle that stuff on another day…gotta get ready to go out for some fun. I’m right on target for a 8-13 “launch”!
PS. that CSS stuff had me up till 4 in the mornin’
I may have done more damage than good and will look into reinstalling the theme…bummer.
Addded a bunc of article to the blogs backend…gotta edit and posted one just to see how it comes out. What I really want is a way to have the posts show only the 1st or 2nd paragraph and a link to the full post…mostly for Adsense reasons.
I wanted to change the font size and it worked! I wanted to change the way links appear so they would be easier to locate and trigger a “click”…well I’m still dealing with it.
Clicked links are absolutely important for a money making website. You want people to see your offers. You want people to click around the site and get all the content you’ve worked so hard to write. you want Adsense to have a boat load of impressions
