SEO-ing your Blog Articles
Yesterday I wrote a piece telling where and how to get content for your Blog. While fresh regularly published content will get you indexed by Google, directing exactly where you show up and in what markets you’re in is essential if you want to make money with a website. Proper use of your keywords accomplishes the goal of laser targeting your market, and is a critical piece for placement in the top 5. Let’s get started with the basics Blog SEO.
Everyone has a theory on Google indexing algorithm and how it does what is does. No one knows for sure but enough real world application has given us predicable results when we apply keywords systematically throughout the site. The most important parts of your page are the title, the title of the post (in H1 html tag), and within the body of the post.
I’ve read you also need to put keywords in the “text” field of the “<A>” tag but I’ve got a better solution given to me by my mentors at Fast Profit System.
Your Blog title should have your primary keyword because it’s thought Google sees that first. It may be a bit difficult to get yourself a catchy title and make sure it has your keyword, but it’s got to be done! You can use the SEOTitle plug-in, which ‘Tags” your titles however you want. That’s cool but what happens if Google decides “tagging” has gotten out of had in relation to SEO? I don’t know, but regardless of what Google does my site has my keywords in the title, description, the titles of most post, the body of the post. I use technology for SEO on the rare occasion I can’t, or don’t directly use keywords.
Now that titles are taken care of the content body should have as many of your keywords as can naturally fit. I’ve got a linking step that will help the ranking of the Blog which adds to making your website profitable. The lead paragraph and the last is always a good place to put your keywords. I like to use them as many times as I can naturally get away with throughout the article body.
Here is where you can monetize your traffic by leveraging keywords and linking. Just link off your keyword to one of your sales letters or any of your sites that have that same keyword.
No matter what happens with technology or where the wind blows at Google, this method keeps you Search Engine Optimized.
